Parking

HP is offering convenient covered parking with over 10,000 spaces adjacent to the start and finish lines. You can download the detailed parking map and it will also be printed on the back of your Race bib. Please arrive early (by 7:00 a.m.) to avoid congestion. Carpool if at all possible. Hotel Accommodations

Wouldn’t it be great to get a little extra sleep on Race morning and avoid dealing with parking Race morning? Wouldn’t it be great to stay and have lunch and shop after the Race but be able to take a shower and change first? We have the “yes” to all of those questions.

The Marriott at Legacy Town Center will again offer Komen North Texas Race for the Cure® participants a special rate of $82 on Friday, June 5. Just mention that you are participating in the Komen North Texas Race for the Cure® and make your reservation by May 15.

Aloft Plano is located at Tennyson and The Dallas North Tollway and offers Komen North Texas Race for the Cure® participants a special rate of $59 on Friday, June 5th or Saturday, June 6th. The hotel will have a shuttle service (shuttle map) to and from the race course beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 11:00 a.m. Fourteen day cancellation policy.

On race morning, roll out of bed, lace up your shoes, grab a cup of coffee and smile knowing you are already there!

Now through March 31st, all of our fabulous merchandise is available online – click on the Pink Boutique link.  From stainless steel water bottles to a light weight fleece blanket – we have unique items sure to please everyone.  100% of the profits fund the fight against breast cancer. Shop early and shop often!

Safety First

For the safety of all participants, inline skates, bicycles and pets are not permitted at this event. For those with baby strollers/joggers participating in the 5K, please keep to the back of the pack.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Chip Timing

Chip timing will be available for $5. Awards will be assessed by a gun start. Runners competing for awards should enter the start corral by 7:45 a.m. Check the Chip Timing box on the registration form and your disposable chip will be mailed with your packet. Timed runners must be registered by 7:45 a.m. Race morning.

Race Awards

Timed runners will compete for the following awards:

  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall breast cancer survivors
  • 1st place overall female and male
  • 1st place master survivor (40+)
  • 1st place senior survivor (55+)
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals for each age group for both female and male finishers

Age groups:
1-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39;40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+

Chip timing is required to be eligible for awards. No duplicate awards given.

Race Course Certification

Certification Number (TX09011ETM) of the 5K course was granted by the USAT&F. Runners and walkers will wind through the Plano Campuses of HP and The Campus at Legacy, The Premier Office Environment on a fun and mostly flat course.
