Major step in personalized treatment — Thanks to a 2007 research grant from Susan G. Komen for the Cure®,scientists identified a set of 50 genes that oncologists can potentially use to tailor individualized treatments for all breast cancer patients.

Special Programs

Survivor Program
In addition to their race shirt, each survivor will receive a pink shirt and hat that will make them easily identifiable as survivors. The morning of the race, survivors will go to the Survivor Tent to receive ribbons for their hat – one ribbon for each year of survivorship. Each survivor and one guest can enjoy breakfast, prize drawings and other fun activities – our way to honor these very important people.

Following the Race, there will be a special survivor recognition program. All survivors are invited to gather behind the survivor tent immediately following the race to participate in the event. The program will consist of special music and recognition of the survivors by all participants of the Race.

Survivors also will enjoy reserved parking. You will receive more parking information with your Race shirts and bib numbers.

In the Pink®
When you sign up as an In the Pink participant – race day is a breeze! Your premium parking allows you to save your steps for the race. Grab a light breakfast and jump on the In the Pink Shuttle that will take you from the Preferred Parking Lot to the Sponsors Area and back again after the festivities are over. Your In the Pink Registration costs $50 and includes:

  • Race Registration
  • Race T-shirt and Bib
  • Premium Parking Pass
  • Grab and Go Breakfast
  • Shuttle service between Parking Lot and Sponsor Area
  • Packet Mailing

Sleep-In For The Cure®
Out of town race day? Kids got a game? Don't like crowds? Or maybe you just need your beauty sleep. If this is you, then sign up for our new Sleep-In for the Cure® program. This is a way to support the North Texas Affiliate while you travel, shuttle the kids or hit the snoozzzzzze button. Your $40 registration fee includes:

  • Race Registration
